Turn your Passion into Action!

Anthem Pets has rescued thousands of dogs and cats since its humble beginnings in 2005 and we could not have done it without our dedicated team of Volunteers and Fosters. Some activities involve hands-on work with pets, and many others can be done online from the comfort of your home – there’s really something for everyone!

You can read about available volunteer positions below. We encourage everyone who is interested in volunteering or fostering to join our private Volunteers & Fosters Facebook group where you can see real time requests for volunteer and foster help, upcoming adoption or fundraising events and more. Note: For any activity involving animals, volunteers must be 18 years or older.

Fulfil your passion for helping animals by making an impact as a volunteer or foster. Please click here to learn about fostering. Thank you for joining this group of animal lovers!

Volunteer Coordinator / Pet Spay & Neuter Transport Driver

The Volunteer Coordinator communicates with the Board to identify what volunteer positions need to be filled and makes the first contact with new volunteers. They welcome the new volunteer, provide information, answer questions and learn about the volunteer’s interests. They ensure that the volunteer feels welcome and communicates with the Board to find the best role for them within the rescue.

Pet Spay & Neuter Transport Driver will take foster pets to their surgery appointment at the North Phoenix Animal Hospital at 1610 E. Bell Rd. Drop off is between 7:30 – 8:30 am and pick up at 4 pm. All cats and some dogs will be in carriers. Foster pets will usually be located in Anthem or North Phoenix. You must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license.

If you are interested in these positions, please fill out a Volunteer Application, or text 480-287-3542 with any questions.
